+1.7 wind. Nice race.
The final is yet to come:
No chance he isnt doping. He had no top end speed at World Champs. 2 weeks to go from that form to this form I say that is humanly impossible.

Are a f*cking idiot? You have no clue how doping even works. He very well may be doping, and probably is, but nowhere in your logic do you even begin to approach one of the several reasonable pieces of evidence that suggest he is on drugs.

Cause it makes perfect sense he would wait until after the most important meet of the year to begin taking drugs...
WTF?! This seems very suspect and unbelievable!
Amazing time if true! I mean, the record has been lowered by only .01 the last few times, but now it's gone down another .03! A whole .05 away from Mo Greene's best!?
According to Snack and Yield Snooze Donovan Powell just set a WR. \
Imagine brothers setting WRs on the same day!! ;);0;)

If you adjust for wind, Greene's 9.79 in near still wind is clearly superior to Powell's 9.74. Powell's 9.78 with no wind is basically taking 0.01 or 0.02 off of the previous world best held by Greene. Not unbelievable in the least.
Actually, he was injured early in the season and had very few races before Osaka. It's called rounding into form. Webb came too early, and Powell's coming too late.
First of all i guarantee im smarter and know more about doping. Secondly, To suggest that one of the fastest guys of all time drop .2 after a world championship where he got out of the blocks great in 2 weeks isnt a sign he is doping is ridiculous. I do know exactly how doping works and doping would produce very uneven times just as Asafa is showing now. There is no way, no chance he can improve his top end speed that much in 2 weeks. He got out great at Osaka, im sure he did here too but they said he eased up at the finish. that alone should say he is doping. But to ease up at the finish 2 weeks after one of the biggest races of your life and run .2 faster?!?!?!?!? Ina semi!?!?!?! Kinda sounds like Flo-jo huh.
the video is ridiculous. just like flo-jo. He could have broken the record by almost .1 that is doping. Not rounding into form doping.
Although I hate your handle, I agree with you, it is a definite sign. He got dusted by Gay, and now that. That said, Powell clearly quit as soon as Gay pulled up along side him. Powell is a huge pussy. Watch the video of the 100m final in Osaka and look at how much more Gay wants it. It's hilarious.
Gay was snarling and grimmacing like an African feline pursing its meal at the Amboseli National Park. He was HUNGRY.
Asafa got psychologically beaten and even lost to Derrick Atkins.
It's actually disappointing to see Gay win running as forced and strained as he does. I like the guy, but Powell is the essence of efficient movement.

true, but only when he isnt racing real men.
like an nfl reciever who drops a pass, he hears footsteps and bitches out.
In Osaka he eased up big time before the line when running 10 flats through the rounds, then in the final you could just see him tighten up like a motherf***er over the last 40m. You could see his stride shorten like crazy, he slowed dow big time.
In Rieti today it was a different story, he was strong, fluid, and relaxed the whole way, whereas in Osaka he tightened up and was clenching his jaw etc.
That's the difference between his 9.74 and his 9.96, just the amount of relaxation and fluidity he displayed.
Nobody was close to him. Some people run better way in front. Just what makes the world go round different strokes for different folks. I don't think he can be changed that's just what you face if you run against him in a non major race. He's flat near unbeatable. This was a semi-tough race. Olympics or World's is more pressure. He thrives on this type situation at Reiti.
Probably something to do with his personality and environment.
He’s a committed Christian who prefers the somewhat sheltered life in his native land rather than travel across the sea and get involved in the US competitive scene.
Not being involved in the American scene probably also explains why he’s generally acknowledged as being a clean athlete.
U guys are stupid
the man splits 8.84 and he has no top end...
only lets run
