They're at the link below. Howard Nippert was 8th overall for the USA, his 4th straight top ten finish. Greg Crowther also ran well.
Chad Ricklefs also made it into the top 20, so it seems the US men got 4th place behind Japan, Russia and France. Seems like Japan and Russia typically duke it out for the gold, with the US and one of the central European countries (Germany, France, etc) usually in the hunt for bronze.
err, that should be western European not central European.
you mean dean karnazes did not win???
"former Hokie" Howard Nippert. It seems that he's really found his spot in the ultras.

Yes, he now has 3 of the top 12 fastest 100k's ever run by an American and has certainly proven he's one of the best in the ultra world. He has his own web site at the link below.
Nice. I was at VT when he was in grad school. He was in marathon mode back then, training with my coach. He's been pretty fast at every level, and just kept moving up (to 100 km, anyway).
Looks like the US men's team got a bronze medal - http://www.runwinschoten.nl/pdf/100-wc-teams-men.pdf and the women's team finished just one spot lower taking 4th as a team - http://www.runwinschoten.nl/pdf/100-wc-teams-woman.pdf
US Men get the Bronze! Great job guys.
Nippert also was the 1st over 40 runner as the race served as the World Master's Champs as well. How does it work in the ultra world?
No - Nippert was not the first over 40 runner in the race.
That honor went to Pascal Fetizon of France who happens to be over 45 years old!
Fetizon ran 6:47, some two minutes faster than Nippert, in the race. Fetizon is a former elite French marathon runner with a best time in the 2:12 range.
Ghost in Korea
Greg Crowther also has a blog at http://www.running-blogs.com/crowther/ and he has a recap of his race experiences up.
Sorry, I missed that. I just saw that Nippert won the 40-44 age group and assumed no one older was ahead of him. Great running by both IMO.
Wonder why Fetizon wasn't listed in the Master's results - http://www.runwinschoten.nl/pdf/100-wma-categorie.pdf He's not in any of the categories nor is he in the overall listing - http://www.runwinschoten.nl/pdf/100-wma-overall.pdf
