What, are you twelve? The Drudge Report? You might as well post a link to "The Weekly World News."
Why do right-wingers feel like liberals have to declare a vow of poverty to avoid being hypocritical?
It's not a liberal/conservative thing - all of these politicians are crooks, liars, and thieves. Don't believe anything they say. All they do is tell you what you want to hear.
wake me up when you have something worthwhile to contribute; otherwise get back to the Shawn Hannity show, now in progress.
ha ha ha, Sean Hannity, what a freakin moron!
I thought the Drudge report was "fair and balanced" reporting. No?
Love Glenn Beck or hate him, he says one thing that makes total sense: politicians never say or do things in order to make the country better or make people's lives better, they say and do things they need to in order to win elections.
Anybody quoting Glen Beck in a debate is sure to lose.
Trust me, I'm not quoting him in any other form or calling him an expert at anything, but when it comes to how politicians do their jobs, doesn't he have a point?

Really? Is Al Gore conspiring with the Drudge Report?

Just about every person in every news outlet goes to the Drudge Report looking for stories.
Are you claiming the story isn't true? Are you claiming Al Gore isn't the biggest, fattest hypocrite on the planet?
It's commonly known in Washington that Dick Cheny and Al Gore are good buddies. They both have stong ties to the chesse industry.....
Actually, Al Gore and John Edwards have a stronger tie to the Cheese industry.... In all seriousness It's common knowledge that Al Gore grossly contradicts what he says by his actions... Nontheless, there are alot of ways to look at it and Environmentalist like what he's doing. "If your not a part of the problem, you may still be a part of the problem"......

You say that like it's a good thing. But "Just about every person in every news outlet"? You say that like you can prove it. You can't. So don't claim it.

I'm saying that Drudge is an extremely disreputable source. It is well-known that he is a partisan hack. The thing about partisan hacks is, if you question them or criticize them, then you get accused of being partisan just for asking questions or being critical of them.
As far as hypocrites? I'd say Larry Craig, or Mark Foley, are ten times bigger hypocrites than Al Gore. Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham, Jack Abramoff, Scooter Libby, and Bob Ney, too. (Jeez, my fingers are getting tired just typing the long list of Republican criminals, and I haven't named close to half of them yet... there are so many, it's hard to remember or keep track of them all.)
Al Gore is retired politician who's trying to inform people about global climate change. Anyone who doubts the validity of global climate change is a certified moron.
I think it's hilarious that some right wing boob would start a thread about "liberal hypocrites" with the Larry Craig story so fresh in people's minds. Anyone who doubts the depths of Craig's hypocrisy should take a look at this clip of him pontificating about Bill Clinton:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Vs5570pKw[link/]
and Mr. Family values, Larry Craig, has a rapist for a son and a daughter with an outstanding arrest warrant...
ah so it goes

Of course the talking heads never pander to their sponsors. They only seek out the undistilled truth.
Of course hedge fund managers never pander to their shareholders. They only seek out the undistilled truth.

He broke the Monika Lewinsky story. He's gotten some very good scoops over the years. And he doesn't make up news and even seek out news. It comes to him and he puts it up.
Just because he's a partisan hack doesn't mean he is disreputable. He's also not afraid to call Republicans on the carpet.
Hell, just next to the Al Gore story is a link to a story making fun of W for all his gaffes in Australia.
And if you were in the news industry, you'd know how often reporters check in there. They hate to get out-scooped by him.

I didn't say that was the case. He's disreputable AND he's a partisan hack. Regardless of whether he throws in the token Republican softball jab once in a while.

True enough. Which underscores how lazy the MSM really is. Drudge's problem is that he doesn't bother to check his sources thoroughly. He's the political "National Enquirer." That's why people feed him shit. They know he'll post it even if it's dodgy stuff. You said it. "they come to him." THAT should tell you everything. They don't teach you in journalism school, "Hey, just let your sources come to you, pal..."
Put it this way, when Drudge is de-bunked, as he often is, it's never "news." Why? Because it happens ALL the time, and he has no real credibility anyway. He's a whore. If something embarrassing is revealed about Al Gore, it makes news. Why? Because it doesn't happen everyday, and he still has some credibility left.
Anyway... why talk about Al Gore, a retired politician, when we can talk about Larry Craig, a currently serving, anti-gay, Republican pervert who likes to have anonymous sex with men in public restrooms in his spare time, when he's not grandstanding about how awful gay marriage is. THAT, my friend, is a hypocrite.

They are both politicians, and therefore, hyopcrites. We can talk about both, and frankly, start and carry on threads about whomever we want.
You're welcome to not click on this thread again if it bugs you so.
