Never a good idea for a Democrat to criticize his party's leadership. If he was in the GOP he would be hailed a McCain-like "maverick". But if you go against the left's leadership you are deemed a traitor. He is the enemy to Pelosi now, and a barrier in the way of the anti-war left's propaganda machine.
I for one salute his honesty. He went to Iraq, saw progress, and reported it. Sounds like a sole honest politician actually walks among the Democrats. Who would have thought?
Why would an anti-war democrat say such things? What is his hidden, dark justification for making such comments which will only embolden Bush to "stay the course"?
In short, what do you on the left know that he doesn't know?
