Agreed, but the forefoot of the white ones were mesh but a different material in the others.
They may have actually hit the post of making a very good shoe. A few tweaks and it could be very good.
Of course, some 300 pound guy will buy them and say, "they're too narrow" and nike will make the next version wider, shafting the guys who get used to it.

I am right there with you man!! I have been saying the same thing. I find a great shoe by nike and think that they are actually getting better at making a more runner friendly shoe, then they come out with an "update" that really lowers the shoe to a 300 pound jogger's level. Honestly can't we at least have one shoe for us? All we need is one neutral thats light yet cushioned and a nice medium stable shoe and a really stable shoe and we're good.
