A rapper actually does a song with a real message and has substance. The second part (Evening News) was actually extremely well done whether or not you agree with him, this was pretty creative.

You missed the whole Public Enemy thing, huh? Let me guess -- you're either 50 or 20 years old..

I guess my sentence was too complicated for you to assume I'm referring to rappers of TODAY. Everybody knows that Public Enemy (at least true music fans) made a huge impact in the music world. I'm not mad though, glad you're defending Hip-Hop, but I think we can agree that there are a lot of artists now and days (not just rap but also those EMO and Punk bands) lack a lot of substance.
OK, just checking. My initial read is that you were another fuddy-duddy shocked that rap could be an art.
Damn, I miss PE. I need to run to that tonight.
no mention of slick rick in this video? you busta's ain't old school - you foo's be perpetratin'
Art? Where was the art in that waste of nine-plus minutes of talent-devoid gibberish? Sorry, guys.
Rap: 0
Common Sense: 1

that wasn't what i was getting at... no one mentioned the cameo from slick rick. (3:42 - 4:20)
any true old school rap fan would have picked up on that right away.

Any true old school rap fan would know how to use proper grammar. Except for the Biz -- I'm not sure he would. But Big Daddy Kane would help him with that.

And what would you call 'art'?
The words rap and grammar never go together in the same sentence unless describing a lack of one in another. Sorry dawg.
