Wow. Do they really think a relative unknown will win 3 IN A ROW?
I might be wrong, but I was under the impression Koech didn't even make the Kenyan team in the steeple.
Well we are talking about T&FN. These guys are so out of touch anything that comes up associated with them continually discredits their name in the running community.
By the time T&FN issues arrive it's already old news.
Is that the prediction for Helsinki 2005 that you just received in the mail.

Knee injury
the editor gerry hill said on trackandfieldnews.com those picks were made before webb ran the 330.54 for 1500 and 143.86 for 800 and also the 346.9 mile, they will have a final prediction on the website a few days before the championships begin and they usually have a prediction contest so anyone can test their predicting skills.

A contest like the one most people on this board already participate in?
I think 2 World Championships makes you slightly more known.

Hence my use of "relative."
Well if the picks are so terrible, let's see your picks!!! I think that it is very likely that Webb does not medal. He shot his wad early and may be hurt. Running heats is very difficult and he still has to prove to me that when he gets into a big championship race that he does not do something stupid (usually takes the lead way too early and only the "real studs" can do that!!!!!!!!

What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
