Last month I visited some friends who are faculty and students at Mahasarakham University in Thailand.
I had some really nice runs on the dirt farm roads surrounding the campus. Not grass, but just nice soft dirt roads in the surrounding forests and farm lands. Mahasarakham is about 6 hours by bus from Bangkok.
If you want to do something really different, and also see more action that Wilt Chamberlain, consider a semester away from the USA. The female/male ratio is about 70/30 and they are all super friendly Esaan gals. (Northeast Thai gals)
Enjoy.

Hard to beat the University of Georgia. Athens, GA is the most beautiful college town in the US, or in the top 5. They have miles of trails right on their campus. The Intramural fields are adjacent to a state park and you can run for at least an hour out there w/o doubling back. The scenery is awesome with a lake, pine trees and coeds.
leo, how you been? still running after that great marathon in brockton all those years ago? living on the island? damn leo, it has been a while, what have you been up to? thanks for checking in.
Ya, still rcovering from biking back from Bolivia and just took time out from my banjoing - trying to get the bridge correct on "Foggy Mountain Breakdown"
What is this "dusty snatch" you speak of? It's been a while since I graduated, and I wasn't a member of the team, but I've logged many a mile around town.
Oregon? Quite the boring campus if you ask me.

Tons of trails near the campus: Malibu State Park, Zuma and Trancas Canyon State Park, Point Mugu State Park, and Topanga State Park isn't too far away either. Malibu Bluff Park is close by and Point Dume Park isn't too far either.
There is a huge amount of grass out infront of the school. Deer eat it up lately but a lion was seen eating one of those deer and either another lion or the same lion was killed by a car crossing Las Virgines Canyon next to the campus this past week.
'my school's better than your school!'
hand-wringing, teeth gnashing.

You expect a guy who has never been outside of his mothers basement to know what's going on outside of the country?
Ohio University is a beautiful campus with lots of place and parks with trails for running!

but since i'm posting anyway, i'll nominate university of maryland.
You really need to do some traveling if you think UMD is anywhere near the top of the list, especially when it comes to grass running.
I've never thought Purdue was much better than average for running and I doubt it belongs on a top 20 list, but the CC course and hort park trails are nice. I also like the good number of relatively low traffic country roads right off of campus.

So, you're saying not only should someone have seen all the universities in the US, but all the universities in the world, in order to make a list?
