I am assisting a young man who is a D-1 scholarship athlete who was training 85-90mi/wk. In the Springtime, he was in 14:30 5000m and had to retire from races with abdominal cramps. This led to blood in his stool, then fatigue, and now he cannot run more than :10 without diarrhea. The condition has slowly progressed to the current state. He has been scoped from both "Ends" and had a camera examine his small intestine with no abnormalities. A round of anti-biotics has yielded no positive results.
The doctors are baffled. Has anyone counsel as to a direction to persue to correct the problem.
Thanx
