If there are two people in a race, one is second and the other is next to last.
i had an incredible dream as well: zoom milers, a piping hot track, and 137 lbs of 430miler, incorrect grammar and all, waving spirit fingers wildly about while crossing the threshold at 4.27 and change. it was somewhat a la Mottram at Pre, but more nothern united states-like.

oh snap! run a mile on spaceship traveling near the speed of light around the earth and then broadcast the race to the spectators of letsrun. Then we'll see if 1 second = 1 second.
Who says we need to go on a spaceship travelling near the speed of light? If you're out there running 14 miles an hour, there will already be a relativistic effect. In terms of whether you can perceive this effect, or whether it is measurable, is a totally separate question. However, in terms of the430miler's talk about how perfect everything is, it makes a difference.
