That is a crazy field! Has there ever been such a deep HS 2 mile?
2003 arcadia race maybe?
i dunno how many guys were under 9 in that one had to have been a ton.
Imagine running 8:59.19 for two miles and getting 14th place. Unreal.
Imagine that, 25 posts after a great distance race and no EPO accusations! What is going on???

75% of this list is soon to be or former Ducks. Gotta love that.
Actually it's more like this:
1. Jeff Nelson
2. Craig Virgin
tie 3. Pre/Centrowitz

The Dyestat board had Miller transferring, Tommy G and King from Stotan and Murdock all to Syracuse. Can't believe that an internet message board could be wrong.
And Groonie shouldn't you be sleeping after that big effort last night?
way to plug yourself on letsrun. cool.
flotrack has matt's race video up now.
it's heat 3, boys 2 mile.
I was at the meet last night and it was probably the best possible race conditions for a 2-mile.
It was run around 10:30pm at NC A&T which is an awsome facility with an incredibly hard and fast track. There was no wind and the whether was pretty cool and unhumid. Perfect.
Centrowitz looked better then any other high schooler I have ever seen closing. It was amazing how focused he was, eyes straight ahead until the very finish. He just had perfect form.
I just hope he has not overextended himself with his training like so many of the phenominal high schoolers do, however with his dad coaching im sure things are under control.
Also, yall should check out the winning girls 4X800 team. Only one senior.
Besides that there was nothing too remarkable.

What motive would there be to pass up running for the NCAA champions to go to a largely unproven program at Illinois?? Has their coach ever broken a grape at that level? Will he ever? Most likely not and is in over his head.
Also, don't you think big Matt had a small hand in his boy going to Oregon?
Nike U-that's cute-old and tired, but very cute
Have the Centrowitz's passed Archie San Romani and Archie San Romani Jr. as the best father/son team ever?
This race is more proof that A.J. Acosta was incredibly overrated. If there wasn't so muhc hype about him last year, I would've forgotten about him already.
