Easily wins the Steeple while posting a new collegiate record. Smoking hot, well spoken, and humble in her interviews. The ULTIMATE package.
Too bad she isn't racing anything else. She could have dominated more than one event.

congratulations go out to anna, collegiate record and all...
and someone should tell ms. barringer to try to let the champ have the spotlight, rather than "meandering" behind her and the cameras during the postrace interview. oh and who is this "coach heather burrows"? i thought wetmore was her coach
I'm pretty sure Barringer was told that she would be interviewed and should therefore hang around while Willard gave her interview.
actually i doubt it. you could tell she was just hanging out for no god damn reason, looking around, hoping to get some extra camera time. what a joke
also... lets not talk about jenn-- whatever her name is anymore. not the national champ this year, Congrats again ANNA
Please I really doubt that Barringer was hanging out just to get a little bit of coverage. They told her she would be interviewed. Anyways congrats Anna.

I agree
CR and dominating win in the final. It doesn't get any better than that.
Yeah, you're pretty ridiculous if you think Jenny was hanging back there praying the Tv crew would feel bad for her and give her a pity interview!
I don't know her, but I am a fan, and from all of the interviews i've seen with her, she really does not seem like that kind of person.
AND, i'm in broadcasting, and it's hard to get people to do interviews, she was willing and she had no where else to hang out.
Don't be a jerk!
BUT, mad props to Anna Willard, that was freaking amazing! I wonder what she could have done had she not made it a sit and kick race! Hopefully I see her at USA Nationals!
oh please. I have laughing cramps. She give anything to have an interview, even to a deaf crowd

Sounds like someone is big time jealous of Jenny.
Ever since Penn, I have been really impressed with Willard. I picked her to win the 3000SC, which she did handily. I thought it would be closer because the top three were all capable of improvements in their times, but thought that Willard had the best background -- look at her performances from 800 through 5000, that range hinted at superior potential.
Actually Jennifer B. was asked to wait and did an interview with someone from Flo-Cast. A runner had stepped on her shoe in the first lap, she had to stop and put it back on so she was about 60 meters back within the first lap and she had to fight her way back into contention. Not saying she would have won but she would have been in the top three mix. A HUGE race for Anna Willard. Great run.
Jenny Barringer is simply awesome, to run sub 10 after that huge delay in getting the shoe back on. What a female warrior goddess, smart, well spoken...she will be accounted for in this event come the Trials.
Humble...okay. she openly admits she is a coward in front of everyone! "..i am just going to sit and kick..." what a pansy! If she was really as great as you all think she was she would have led in the middle when it hurt the most. But no she let everyone else do the work while she drafted. Last time i looked just kicking to win doesn't make you the champion its the one who goes out there and takes a risk.

No I believe winning a championship makes you a champion.
