I remember going to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas and watching the Bullet in his early years with the Cowboys. Don Meredith used to get killed, but he would chunk it long and nobody could keep up with Bob. And, by the way, there were some pretty fast defensive backs at the time. He might not have had the moves of Alworth or Berry, or hands of others, but once in the open field all bets were off. His comment about the medal is wonderful.
