Wasn't Ritz suppose to be running the 5000 yesterday in Eugene?

Didn't want to waste energy in a 13:20 race.

No he wasn't supposed to run.
He was on the start list:http://www.oregontrackclub.org/images/Startlist_RTE_May24.pdf

Had to get an emergency leg transplant. He'll look a little wrinkly below the waist in racing shorts, but those brittle balsa bones are a thing of the past!
He is probably busted again or "Uncle Al's Special Sauce" hasn't had time to simmer down yet.

Nice race by Thomas Morgan with a 13:36! That should be a PR. He is looking like he could be a contender for a spot on the Olympic Team.

Hahahaha....NOT!

So what of it? He wasn't running. Neither were others "on the start list."
Well, to be precise, you can't say "others," since only one other, Galvan, appears on the start list and is not listed in the official results. Ritz said after Central Park that if he's up to it, he'll run the 5,000; the mid-week, he is on the start list as well as being featured in several articles about the race, which suggests he felt up to it. I assume this means he pulled out, and the question is, why? Not a foolish question, I think.

4 words for you: Dathan was never running.
He was entered, along with David Galvan, Alejandro Suraez and Ryan McKenzie. None of them ran. Ritz wasn't planning on running.
So why did he enter?

Do you specialize in being evasive? How about providing a straight answer on what happened?

Ritz isn't like YOU losers. He doesn't enter any races, someone else enters his name for him, just in case. He was considering it but not seriously. Is that good enough for you?
As regards your thread just prior to this one, both Suarez and McKenzie are listed as scratches--hence my mentioning only Galvan. As for others entering his name for him, I presume only two other people can do this, his agent and his coach, and they would only do so on his say so. Now I perfectly well understand that on the basis of his recovery from Central Park, he decided not to run: in fact, I thought it was wise not to run the 5,000 in the first place. But given his history of injuries, given that he is on the start list, given that several articles emanating from Oregon, mid-week, featured him as running in the meet, given that he is not listed as a scratch, I, along with several others, wondered why. I am not starting a senseless, baseless rumor that he is hurt. I have little doubt but that he simply decided not to run--and I surely hope that's true, for he's someone for whom I genuinely root. Finally, I don't understand your belligerence, and it really is completely unwarranted. "You losers"--you know absolutely nothing about my life or anyone else's on this thread, so if I might offer some avuncular advice, try being a bit more charitable.

Agreed. No need to be a dick when someone just asked a simple question.

There are a few people in "that" camp that are happy to be dicks whenever possible.
His name on the start list probably sold some tickets, therefore that is why is name is on the start list.

It was free to get in last night.
This meet wasn't Zurich. People enter if there's a small chance they might run, and then pull out if they don't feel like it. Entries were due before the Healthy Kidney race, so I assume after that Ritz knew he was fit, and so didn't see the sense in running a 5K.
