paula radcliffe is one of the toughest mothas ive ever seen ... besides her I dont watch female track ... casue i can go watch a local meet if I want to see slow people run
Yes, but to a much lesser extent than men's track. I'm a big fan of Tirunesh Dibaba.
That's funny. I was thinking that I would watch a women's race only to see Paula lose.
Sort of... I don't really care about it, but if I see something interesting like a WR or AR, I'll check it out. What amazes me is that even professional women runners look like shit when they run. Some women have okay form, but most have worse form than a 10 year old boy who's done zero training. I don't get it.
I enjoy watching women's middle distance races, they're usually pretty competitive right to the end. 5,000 and 10,000, though, what you realize almost right away is that there is very very little depth in those events, at least in the US.
girls = slow
girls = slow
Oh, and Carrie Tollefson.
I dig the chicks pole vault, why, cuz they are cool and real athletes doing something very few would even attempt.

You Sexist Bastard
women's pole vault is definitely something to watch. fit, shapely, strong, ballsy women flying through the air and landing on a foam pad, kind of reminds me of the ending of the old Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel.
There have been some amazing things happen. Consider Sanya Richards, Allison Felix, Shalane Flanagan.... those are just A FEW Americans, disconsidering many, including the rest of the world.
When a girl jumps 6'9" in the high jump, I feel there is a reason to be excited, when American records fall, and when 7 women gut it out in a mid-distance or distance race that is decided in the last 10 meters, I think there is a reason to be excited and at least interested.
When Deena Kastor gets an american record just training for a marathon, which she also sets an american record for, what's the first thing that pops up in my head? Hmmm... that sounds a lot like what Ryan Hall did. Both were equally exciting to me.
Have you guys ever seen Carolina Kluft in the Heptathalon? She's a friggin' beast and she can out-perform many good male athletes in SEVEN EVENTS!
Yeah, women's track is worth watching.
oh, yes, i follow women's track and field, and admire performances of all female athletes, but pole vaulting is just a balls to the wall event. anatomically, but not figuratively, minus the operative word, ballsy, in the women's version of the event.

Ditto that. I also like watching hoops, but can't take the women's game on any level.
womens track depth is pathetic, especially at the ncaa level.
Your name explains it all. Check how many girls in NCAA are sitting right on 2:00-2:01 in the 800.
How many girls will post on this thread pretending their guys/being negative?
Carro Kluft won the hep today. Will she break 7000 in Osaka?
there is nothing like sitting in the stands on a sunny day and watching female high jumpers. Long, lean, athletic, little itty bitty tops and bottoms flipping over on their backs with their legs up. Sigh.
