This is the typical response to someone who knows the situation first hand and you make fun of his name.I will tell you I am biased on this situation since I have known the family for the last seven years. There have many times when Briana has been at my house as well as my daughter at hers, and I can tell you she is a well adjusted twelve year old who enjoys her life.As far as her father putting to much pressure on her I can tell you this, she spent the whole weekend at Falmouth with my family who was also there for the race. Her Mom and Dad came up for race day. Brianna and my daugther went to the pool, the beach, ran all around the race expo, talked about kid stuff as well running. Yes they were there to race but that was only a part of there weekend. As far as Joans comments however well intenioned she may of thought, the timing was poor and should of been directed in a better way. I can tell you this, just after these comments I was standing with Briana and my daughter and Joan came up behind us. If there was real concern for Brianas future she should have asked If I was Brianas father and talked to me.Another point I liked to make is the statement I always read about the father and what he says, how many races , how much we do, and how far. This man is a father who is proud of his daughter, I think there are many of us out here who speak fondly of our children whenever we can, eveybody has there own style, but do not misrepresent this for abuse.I know this Is long winded but I know that no matter how Brianas running life turns out I can tell you this she has great role models in her Mom , Dad and sister. I am happy to count the Jackucewicz family as our friends and consider them great role models for my children to be associated with.
