John Richardson just ran 3:43.02 winning SEC by over 1.6 all in last 300M, PR'ed at 800 in 1:49.68 in Q round, look out for him as he rounds into best shape of 4 years.

Rono, Lomong, and Manzano begin to gap the field with 300m to go, Rono outkicks Lomong to win.
Rono
Lomong
Manzano
Lancashire
Billy Berlin wont even make it to the final jeeeeeeeeez you are daft if you think otherwise... Mike Kerrigan has a better chance.
Oh ok, since we are going off of what people have run in the past, not on what they have done lately...Jim Ryun ran a 144.9 880. Under your theory, if he wanted to, he could drop that right now. Think about what you are saying...you are just as bad as the Lancanshire fan.
"Lancashire ran 1:45 last year. This year he is obviously working more on the aerobic side...he could definitely drop a 1:46 if he had too." Since he is doing aerobic, wouldn't that mean that he couldn't run a 1:45? He isn't doing the same speed work. It is like saying that someone who used to run a 47 in the 400m, but now runs the 1500m, could still run a 47. He still couldn't necessarily run a 47 or a 1:46 in this case. You probably think that he could!
For everything in life, you should always follow the theory of what have you done for me lately. The times given in a previous post are the times this year. Sure these guys could very well be ready to run that fast again, but in that same breathe, Berlin is peaking at the perfect time and my bet; he still hasn't gone as fast as he could.
... but didn't the two Stanford guys go 2-4 at indoor nationals? I would say that is good speed at a national class race.
No it isn't! According to irun and others you can only win the 1500 if you ran 145/46 a year ago!
yeah it is a good showing at the national collegiate level, but vincent rono, lopez lomong, and tom lancashire weren't in the race, so those three could bump the stanford guys down 3 places, making them finish 5-7. that's the best i see them finishing at outdoors.
First of all, for the guy doubting Lancashire's speed just because he has not done it this year - you must not know a whole lot about training. I think it is a little different than talk about someone that did it over 40 years ago. Lancashire ran 1:45 about a year ago. My guess is that he still has a good amount of speed but maybe has not done training specifically for 800m. Maybe he cannot run 1:45 but surely as he rounds into top 1500m shape he could run 1:46 or 1:47 at the worst.
I also know that Manzano has not been pushed outdoors so you know that he is ready to drop a big one. Lomong has also not been pushed. In the end, there are about 5 guys that could win it and it will be a great race.
Colorado's Stephen Pifer = darkhorse.
here's who should be entered:
manzano
rono
lancashire
lomong
smith
russel brown
solares (1:47.69, 3:40.43)
perkins
torrence
pifer
bair
miller
barnes
summerside
acosta
williams
berlin
van der westhuizen
bayley
wyner
reid
darren brown
leer
that's 23 runners who have all run low 3:40's(3:40-42.xx), but the one's with the best closing speed have to be manzano, rono, lancashire, lomong, and maybe smith, brown, or solares. the key is making it to the final, of course, which pifer, solares, and a couple others failed to do last year.
true should definelty be included....wyner's never beaten him, and he's on your list.
GO BAIR
Lets just point out how incorrect you were when listing these guys' times. You were wrong. You made no sense. My point is further validated.
Pifer
Pifer will NOT win. No chance!

Pfeiffer.
How can I be wrong when I got those times from this link:

I guess the link must be wrong.
I did however, only take this years times as that is how fast they have run this year. That's all one can really go by. Do your homework!

No, it isn't. Lancashire is a 1:45 guy. You obviously were not aware of that fact. Admit it, you were wrong and now you're stepping all over your dick trying to backtrack.
