I've never said anything about this "Tommy" that you all are talking about. I have no idea who he is. I was simply referring to the Broad Street race -- a downhill, usually wind-aided run that produces crazy-fast times every year, even though it never seems to attract a very strong field of runners.
As for this guy named Tommy: If he beat a bunch of guys who normally beat him, then he's probably getting faster. That's usually the test, whether you're running on an absurdly fast course in the U.S. or an absurdly slow course in Mombassa, Kenya.
Just did 10 miles in 6 mins. Downhill course but it was still 10 miles. I'm getting a lot faster because the last certified course I ran 90.15.
