Malmo,
I'm guessing by your plan that your you don't base your mileage on pace, but on effort. What kind of effort level would you do the majority of your runs at? Was it just whatever pace felt comfortable, did you alternate easy and hard runs, or was it pretty much whatever you felt like?
I have some limited experience (about 2 months this winter) with this type of training and I really feel like it helped quite a bit. The only problem I was having was running myself down. I found myself having to force myself to go easier than I wanted to some days just to keep everything together. I was still in season when I was doing this training, so I had to keep that in consideration- this summer I'm not planning on doing much but working and running, no important races or anything. Is that drained, perma-tired feeling something you ever had a problem with, or do I just need to relax and wait until my body adapts to the mileage? I guess what I'm asking is how tired I should get without being worried about it- if I am tired to the point that my training is suffering, should I keep pushing through, or should I ease off?
