relax, the first 1000 is ok if you are looking to 2:40-245
In 2005, I started in the 1st 1000 w/ 2:30-2:50 guys and ran 2:31. I went out in 74. The first mile up the verezano is slow b/c of the hill, but its pretty wide.
My buddy started up front with the studs, I passed him in Harlem.
