I don't buy into the argument that only criminals will have guns if they were banned.
This may be true to some extent, but it makes it significantly more difficult for something of this nature to occur.
While guns are going to be sold on the black market, it is far more likely that guns will be in the hands of organised crime groups (I am not saying this is a good thing!), rather than homicidal lunatics.
Lax gun laws make attrocities such at the Va Tech massacre more "doable" for f***-wits like the killer in this instance.
I don't think it is so much a "liberal" thing but a common sense idea. It is hard to argue that US guns laws have NOT contributed to these massacres, but unfortunately there is too much money, political bullshit and narrow-mindedness to realistically see change on the horizon.
