Thanks for posting. Now that is exciting news in the world of track!!!
Awesome! Man I've got to find a way to be there.
wow, that is totally awesome. I won't be able to get there (wrong coast), but hopefully there will be a lot of other people there. This isn't his first race in the US though, didn't he run the Wannamaker a couple of years ago? Or am I way off?
Nice to see. Predictions for his time?
8:05
First "Outdoor" race. Some people just have a hard time reading before they post sometimes.

Damn it! This year is the first year in the last five that I can't go!
At least I got to see El G run...
does he have a legitimate shot at the record or is that just wishful thinking
Wonder if bekele will finish this one

I have a weird hunch that the weather will be a little better for the Pre than it was in Mombasa.
who else is running with him in his race?
I am there for sure just an hr. down the road whoo hoo!
8:05 or better.
Two-mile records:
World Best 7:58.61 Daniel Komen, Kenya, 1997
American Best 8:11.48 Alan Webb, 2005
Hayward Field 8:07.68 Eliud Kipchoge, Kenya, 2005
Prefontaine Classic 8:07.68 Eliud Kipchoge, Kenya, 2005
Two months to wait!
Something for Bekele to shoot for: Gebrselassie has run 8:01 outdoors, and 8:04 indoors (world best). I hope Mottram and Webb, both Nike runners, drop in and run it also.
At LEAST 9:00.
i already have my tickets for it
i hope he will come out from mombasa trauma.
i do not expect unique time may be 8.04 or 8.05.
if mottram compete, he should take care as the guy is getting better and better
