For a long time now, I've been reading about running in a minimalist shoe.
When I first got into running, I bought the lightest trainer I could buy, it was the NB 900 back then.
I later on decided take the high mileage route, so I figured I MUST need a heavy supportive shoe.
I bought the Kayano and stuck with it for 2 or 3 years.
I was happy, no injuries, I figured the shoe was working.
I bought the latest pair of the Kayanos, and the were even heavier. I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like I was so slow and heavy, and the shoes couldn't be help.
So I converted back to the 900 series.
I bought the 902's the day they came out. I tried them on at the store and it was magical.
I went for a workout and it was even better.
Now I've been reading a lot about the whole Heel-to-Toe thing being wrong. And I notice on the Eastbay website it says this:
"TS2® Transitional Support System creates a smooth transition from heel strike to toe-off"
I do feel it when I'm running, but it feels natural, as opposed to running in the Kayanos and feeling like I'm thumping.
I want to know if I should be worried.
I would also like to hear input from people who own or have had one of 900 shoes.
Thanks,
Sam
