John Hinton just opened his outdoor season with a meet-winning 3:53 for 1,500m. In one month that will break the world 45 record by several seconds.

NW Master may have a say in that...(good on John, nonetheless)

Good job at the Martian 10K. I heard the course may have been a bit long. How about a tri this summer?
...first veteran actually!

Thanks. And yes, always a bonus when you sign up for a 10K and get to run 11K. The places were set by the time the leaders were directed off course. We wound up finishing in the 'correct' order so all is well.
I actually did a small tri two weekends ago and have been thinking about another this summer. Thanks for the prompt. The August one does not fit into my schedule so I can't do that but the 1/2 IM seems to be the right distance for me. I don't know if I want to mix it up in an Oly distance on my first one. I can barely swim! I am hoping for huge benefits from a wetsuit.
skin...if my memory serves me correctly, you were one bad ass at the duathlon...maybe national champ?

John Rocks!!
Hopefully, John and I can do alot of damage to the 45+ times this year and next.
Good start!

don't forget the open 2000 on August 11th, if you want to pursure the 2K record, or at least set a 45-49 World record.
