i'm going to be at the beach all week next week and was wondering if i should run on the beach itself. Are there any negatives or positives for running on the sand?

doing sprints in thick sand can help your speed and build ankle strength.
what beach? I was in myrtle beach for a week, and the sand was as hard as gravel. The beach was also pretty flat as in not banked away from the water. I was able to go on 10 mile runs on the beach everyday.
hilton head, so thats relatively close to myrtle
There are actually better places to run in Hilton Head - Don't Resort to the Beach. Check out Pinckney Wildlife Refuge, nice system of wide trails and a great place.
