There is no right or wrong regarding this topic. When I think of photos representing 70's distance running I think of John Walker, arms extended winning in Montreal. In the 80's I think of Coe & Ovett in lockstep at Moscow. The 90's, although not distance, only Michael Johnson finishing his Atlanta 200 comes to mind. And the 2000's make me think of the Geb/Tergat finishing stretch (which someone provided) or El G kissing the track after his first gold (2000?).

The return of cat/pirate/gun/girl. I miss the Brandon Moen thread. Like others have said, that thread had me glued to my computer and laughing hysterically.
Is brandon auditioning for porn?
Someone needs to put a running fight photo up. I know a CMSU runner punched out a MSSC runner in the late 90's, and if I could see that on film it would be the best ever.
Who cares about the competition. Let's see some fightin'.

For us Americans, this is pretty amazing.
I'm korean and I didn't know I had a homeland hero.
I can't find the awesome photo of her, shot from the ground as she comes across the finish with both feet in the air and London in the background. I've searched all over the internet and can't find it. That was one awesome shot.
Felicia LaCroix was on the honor roll in 2004. How about that?
I'd go with Hicham El Guerrouj's "Two!" photo, along with Cheriyout's slip at Chicago.
