Chris Parr will win and then neck 4 pints and then carry on and neck another 9 pints in pub golf in Gateshead.
He is a frame to behold. Some have even described him as fat, but we know its all muscle.

Course update?
map of the course can be found at http://www.englishcrosscountry.co.uk/images/national_course_2007.jpg
It's amazing! The people running our sport have finally discovered the interweb. It's a good start but the site needs to be a lot more snazzy if they are going to attract youngsters to the sport. In fact, why isn't there a website run by UKA or someone specifically aimed at getting kids doing athletics? Or perhaps there is one and I just can't find it...
"What about Lobb as a dark horse to make the top 3"
- don't forget Lobb already beat the dark horse over the country a couple of years ago
Any updates?
Womens field looks loaded according to AW!!
Think mens race will be close between Tickner and Riley.
Anyone got any outside bets for surprise medals?
Adrian Holliday to make a BIG IMPACT in the junior race at the weekend. he has been feeding on a no-fat diet for the past month and is now peak weight for ripping up Herrington Country park. If he wins he will gorge himself on pork pies and curry!!!
HOLLIDAY FOR THE TITLE!
Course has dried out nicely - still going to be muddy in places especially along the back end of the course and coming down off the second hill
Looks like they haven't a clue about the weather for tomorrow so they've used that cop out symbol!
Runnerbabe - by the time I get into work tomorrow I expect a full update!

Leeds seemed to do ok getting down last year so don't see it will be any different the other way round.
Well the obvious difference is that everyone wants to come to London because it's the best city in the world, whereas no-one wants to go to Sunderland, not even people from Sunderland.
You have failed me!

Give me a chance!!
A lot of the surface water has dried up but there are sections which are still very watery - although thankfully these are on the wider parts of the course so can be avoided!
According to weather.co.uk it is going to be sunny but windy tomorrow - they reckon winds upto 20mph - which considering the lack of shelter around the course could cause more problems than the water!!!
Anyway thats it for my updates - good luck to all those running tomorrow - hope you enjoy it!!

Runnerbabe you let me down. We never got the chance to camp on the course. What about after? Are you out on the pop?
