What was so ironic about it, was , that the DJ on the music station interrupted the hit song of the day, by Elton John; "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" to make the announcement. I thought he was busting my chops so I cussed at him and hung up. When my alarm/radio went off 2 hours later I heard the news and was at first stunned then cried. Agreed. His death happened AFTER the print deadlines for morning newspapers. Even on the West Coast you wouldn't have seen it in the newspapers until Sunday.
