I took the liberty of removing all FL finalists and foreign athletes from the NCAA XC results. These are the guys who have succeeded in running off of purely hard work/excellent coaching as opposed to talent! The "poor man's" xc results:

"Blue collar" NCAA XC Results!

You're definitely not serious, but since you took the time to tally results, I'll take the time to respond.
Every single one of the athletes at the NCAA cross country meet has talent. Even the guy from FSU who finishes dead last. And every single one of them works hard, regardless of if they were born in Kenya, America, Ireland or wherever. -
yea, you are a blue collar douche and most definately suffer from blue balls

Oops, I'm sorry, Captain Politically Correct. Correction: These are the guys who have done more off LESS talent, and have had to work HARDER to get where they are. I removed foreign athletes because they don't get recruited unless they have posted some amazing times. -

Just stop it...every time you open your mouth you sound dumber and dumber. Go back to your f***ing pig-farm, redneck. -
haha are you kidding me. If your going to go as far as making this stupid list.. why wouldn't you remove the sub 9 guys from HS also.. also sub 9:05 maybe?? maybe sub 9:10?
i feel bad that you wasted your time on such a list -
Every one of those guys does manual labor 40 hours a week to pay for college because they don't have scholorships and never ran a decent highschool time in their life!!!
Thats amazing!!!!
Actually, I commend you on creating the list... that took some blue collar work ethic to manually create it. -
Honestly few of these runners listed are "blue collar" they weren't prodigies, or hailed in highschool but still very talented runners.
also running is not a blue collar sport, i'm sure half of those kids have parents that are rich as hell, and they've never suffered a day in their lives. believe it or not running is not a poor mans sport. most highschool and college runners come from well off families, and so none of us are really all that blue collar, because i'm sure most of these kids fathers wear a white collar -
within the first five names on that list, i notice one guy who ran 8:45 in high school and another who was california state champ in the 1600 (4:08)...
well done, moron!!! -
92nd place is our downhill mile friend from cal
-
Yeah, Brent Vaughn, Christo Landry, Colby Wissel, Leonel Manzano...Who's heard of these guys? Vaugn and Wissel were only sub-9 guys in HS, and Landry's 10th at Footlocker South his senior year obviously means he sucks. Good to see they've improved so much!
-
Smyth from Notre Dame, isnt he from Canada?
-
why'd you take out Galen Rupp?
-
Because he went to Footlocker

what about the guys that dropped out? -
Anyone who runs a 32-minute 10k on a cross country course has some talent.
-
It's not being politically correct. This list is plain stupid. Somehow to think that a pasty white rich boy from the US is blue collar and a Kenyan athlete is not just makes me laugh. Maybe this guy is just trying to make a funny joke with this list.
I shouldn't be so hard on you. You are probably just a soft little American boy. All of the foreign athletes were born with tons of talent. In the US, we have to work hard. At this point we should break into singing Lee Greenwoods's "I'm Proud to be an American". Aaah, it's greta to be ignorant and an American! -
Jacob Gomez of Stanford-listed as 104th- was 10th at Footlocker Nationals.
-
this is pretty weak reasoning on display here. a person can be extremely talented but underperform in high school.

Yeah, make a list of this:
Kids whose parents make less than 55,000$ a year.
I expect that within the hour.
