I don't want to seem like I am one-upping you, but my initial report has been verified by Jim Gray. Also, in talking with Steve Kerr he is trying to verify rumors that Larry Brown has purchased a waterfront home in Coos Bay and will volunteer for the Hippies as a personal coach for Iverson. Also, during the NBA All Star break, Iverson will travel to New Zealand for a 3-point shooting contest.
doubtful about tyson... possibly as an assitant, but noway he goes from asisstant at UK to head at oregon.
Now the Ducks are talking to John Chaplin.
News Flash: I have received valuable information from a source deeply embedded in the Oregon program. Vin is going to take the new position of Oregon AD. He has already interviewed a potential replacement coach; Gabe Jennings. Now everyone should already know the history behind this stellar runner and Vin is hoping he will be able to use his international competition experience to help Oregon step up to the next level. It has been noted that Oregon CC program may institute a new CC camp next summer in Nicaragua. You heard it here first, GABE JENNINGS.

Get it right, kid. If you're gonna quote Fairlane, do it correctly. The proper terminology would be:
"Alberto Salazar? I f'd him. OH!!"
The OSD (Oregon Study Group) is scheduled to make its recommendations sometime early next week. They will produce a list of approximately 73 proposals outlining an exit strategy for Vin from his coaching position so that he can redeploy his skills to the AD position. Some expected proposals:
1. They will need a coach
2. The coach will have to know how to recruit
3. The coach will have to know how to train distance runners
4. The coach will need to put down sectarian feuds between Galen Rupp and AJ Acosta
5. The coach will have to produce quality results
6. Vin will take on the role of AD when the new coach is properly trained to take over coaching responsibilities (ie. Vin will stand down when the new coach can stand up)
Such a report could very well be a complete rebuke of University of Oregon policy.
apologies, that is the OSG (Oregon Study Group)
Well apparently Martin Smith has showed interest in rejoining the program as a sort of comeback. He has offered to cut his payout of approx. $150K per year for a measly $75K salary and a chance to coach a national championship running team.
Apparently he sent an audio tape to Nike with a little catchy tune that goes like this:
"We're bringin' Martin' back.......YEAH! You just don't get it and that's a fact........YEAH! I'll leave the screamin' on the Oaklahoma track......YEAH!"
The word from a qualified inside guy spoke with last night says that he may be in the running, and has even made an offer on his old home in Eugene as a gesture of his sincerity.
Vin's buddy at Stanford will be in as NEW Head coach - Edrick Floreal!!! He is an awesome coach and would do an amazing job at Oregon!

So, Neil and Bob, is that like what you do?
So, I was reading online and read Quintana put in his application for the Oregon job?
They are making the announcement tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. Wonder if they will name a successor now or wait a while.
Where did you hear that?
Where is it posted that UO is making an announcement (besides letsrun)?

I just got off the phone with a credible source who says Vin is going to be named the next A.D. of Oregon. He could not pass up the great deal that Oregon and Nike offered him. Who will be named the next coach of the Ducks?
