The PSAC is so over rated by people who run in it and don't acutally follow any other region/conference. The girls side should thank neely spence for having a 3rd bid to nationals. The guys have good teams that don't show up when it counts so they're over rated as well. Where's the PSAC that had multiple national championships back in the day?

Good luck to all the PSAC teams and individuals competing in Spokane. Lets get some more team slots for next year. That would probably really make some other regions mad which is always entertaining.

The PSAC has some of the best individual women in the country. 2 of last years All Americans (Anderson and Mascoli) didn't even make it this year. That says a lot about the women's individual depth beyond Neely Spence who btw should absolutely dominate. Watch out for Ships number 2 runner also. Spratford is the real deal top 10 is very possible for her.

I was hoping for ESU to steal a spot and make the show - hopefully next year.For all the controvesy that ESU creates - I gotta give it to those guys, they came within 2 or 3 points of sinking the Ship. I bet If Fezza wasn't so busy drinking his training away (Reference Public Intoxication debacle 2009), he could have managed another spot or two and punched his team's tickets to the NCAA meet.

Another nobody, check last years XC results. Ship would have tied Chico for 4th without Neely in the race. So the first part of your statement is idiotic.

Second, no one on here will argue the point that Haven, Boro, Ship, and Rock have tanked some national meets. However all the teams we sent to nationals last year finished in the top 15. We have nothing to hang our heads about.

Last point, our top tier athletes are running times that are in line with or just behind the national champions of the 90s. The rest of the country has raised the bar, we have not regressed. The central region and a few western teams are powerhouses. Again, we have nothing to be ashamed of.

So how 'bout that PSAC?

So since the season is over now, we need something to talk about. I want to know.. who is the most hated team in the PSAC?

Personally, I think it's Ship, mostly out of envy that they dominate every year. "Sink the Ship" has been a phrase thrown around by many teams in the PSAC and I think that has to mean something. Plus.. they have (had) shizzy.

Perhaps the hate for Shizzy also has to do with envy?

I second that, Rizzy. Probably hatred stemming from envy. I went to a school that wasn't really a threat so I never had the spotlight, so it was hard to hate me or my team. Plus it made me the underdog ;)

I'd say ESU. because nobody likes them.

Maybe it is Ship, but it's not worth hating on them anymore because...well yeah it is.

Does anyone know if the qualifying standards for PSACs are out yet? I wouldn't be surprised if standards got faster, it was a bit ridiculous of the amount of people qualifying for some events, 50+ qualifiers.

the indoor standards are out. they havent changed. going to be an interesting 5k again with 30 people in 4 lanes

On my way over to the USATF Club National XC meet here in Seattle. Hoping to see a D2 sweep -- Neely Spence (SHIP) in the women's 6k and Adam Braun (ADAMS) in the mens 10K. Neely should have a good group to run with as former Rutgers star Julie Culley (NYAC) seems to be in good shape, as does former Colorado Buff Sara Vaugh (BOWERMAN AC). And, I expect some Seattle locals to be right in the mix as well. Brie Felnagle (former D-1 AA at UNC) and Kate Follet (former D-1 AA at UW) should be right there.

Neely just finished 2nd to Brie Felnagle. Felnagle made a move @ 5k...Neely went with her and two broke away. Brie won in 19:54...Neely in 19:58.
