5k-Blood outkicks Clark with a sub 14:30
4x8-LHU or the team with the gorrila
Sun-don't know till i see who's running what
Ricky Boby is a LOSER!!!!! Your Picks suck and will not stand up come Saturday and Sunday! there shall be Surprises.
best of luck ryan. i'm hoping it all comes together for you in a glorious way.
blood looked so relaxed in the 5k and esu ran away with it, but are they in nats.?
The mile looks like the best race tomorrow 'cause blood should run away with the 3k...
Everyone who didnlt mention esu in the DMR are all douchebags
i'll start the meet discussion off,
first of all blood is the man of the meet by far, just looked so smooth both races...
-The mile was an exciting race and it was nice to see pinto get a title...
-800 was the race it has been in recent years, straumen(sp?), straumen, straumen
-3k was great anyboby know what the bloods second mile was??
-also anybody have any insight on that dq then renstatement of shipp in the 4x400. (I couldn't see from where I was standing exactly what happened)
Somebody was probably wearing a watch.
to begin.... somehow an ESU runner got knocked down on the 3rd leg and a Ship and Clarion runner was near by. After the race (which Ship won in a close one) the ESU worker(read: offcial) said Ship was at fault and an ESU runner actually went after the Ship runner in anger. The results were announced without Ship in them, without a coach even being told about the DQ. One parent actually had video that showed it was a Clarion athlete that tangled with the ESU runner.....the ship athletes were vividly upset.
Ship filed a protest and then the Clarion coach agreed to sign saying it was his athlete who caused the maylay, which he knew was true. Ship was reinstated and THEN Clarion was also......so in the end no harm no foul.
tell that to esu
how bout the national anthem singers. the girl on the first day was smoking. and then the janitor on the 2nd day, not quite as good looking however, but a good effort.
ship deserved the win in the 4x4, mile 3k and 5k were quick, strauhman's a beast, broadbent from wcu is friggen versatile, james from ship smoked that 200, esu nailed the dmr despite everyone picking the haven. great meet.
shizzy, you are not totally correct of the events surrounding the 4x4. close though
well sir if you are so sure of what happend, feel free to chime in and correct my mistakes.......?
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Clark. Thought he had as good of a meet as anybody. I've come to expect Blood to perform (and look like he's cruising) -- but Clark ran really damn tough.
Hoovis
Hoovis I think Clark def had a great meet and i hope he gets to run in two weeks at nats.
Another kid that turned in some solid performances both days was Spidell, the kid ran four solid races to help his team to the overall title.
Blood (who was rather impressive)aside, Pinto (ESU) was the next best thing in the distance races. Split 4:10 in the DMR (solo) to pace his team to a 10:03. On that track 10:03 is moooving. Sunday the kid won the mile by over 2 sec.!! looking smooth as hell in the process Finally he came back to run 8:41 after a fairly busy weekend. Yeah this only got him 7 or 8th but the majority of the main players (Blood, Clarke, Medina, Regan, Benson, Robson) were working on 20+ hours rest whereas Pinto, Weiss, Hanslovena nd Nesbitt went to the well earlier that day in that mile run. Props to Clarke as well, he looked smooth in that 3k, just looked like he ws at his top end speed for like 4 laps there at the end. Those front two were faster than i thought. 818-819!!!
One that might have gone unnoticed was Sanford from Mansfield (formerly Bloom) He led their DMR off with what looked like a tie for the lead and then came back and was second in the 800 with one shoe. He might be about the most improved kid in the PSAC.
Yeah, Spidell did have a great weekend. It's still hard for me to believe that Fry (IUP coach) didn't land that kid, who went to high school just up the road from Indiana. Definitely the fastest kid from Marion Center...but not the fastest from that small area in Western PA -- there have been some good ones over the years.
Concerning Pinto -- the guy is really good and looks like he put on a good "show" for the home crowd.
It was encouraging and fun to see that the Mansfield team is coming along. Coach Rohl definitely has that program going in the right direction. I think they'll only get better as the year goes on...
Hoovis
i can't believe he transferred from bloom....what a mistake. ha. hopefully he continues his success outdoors.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
