You should check out the IAAF forum, it's much more running oriented, far less shit. Aswell, the Track & Field News message boards have been okay, although they've declined a bit in the last week or so.

I really don't care about reading what fat weight men pumped up on juice do to get their kicks or get better. Think I will stick to all-running sites.
I find this board entertaining, although I rarely participate in the political/social stuff because of the level of what sometimes passes for debate. However, this board really rocks when someone who knows what they are talking about comes on and starts throwing out training and racing ideas. Others chime in, some predictable and some new, and you get a great amalgam of stuff to chew on. I like the openness of this board at those moments.
People have bitched about the "editorial" mistakes on the front page of Letsrun. Dyestat's worse (fitting since it's a high school site). Here's a caption:
"Russell Brown NH with Dad, Chris. Chris finished 6th in the 800. He will be at Stanford University next year."
Okay, so the dad placed 6th at AOC and is going to Stanford at like age 45 but how did his son do??? Plus they put the captions above the pics.
Neither sire will be worth a hot damn until nudity prevails.
Shut up. No one cares what your bicycle riding ass has to say.
does anyone else like mr. chest? i do, and i'm being honest. he is funny and gets a rise out of so many people
Dude, get over yourself. You need to tone it down a notch. You don't need to be vain to be a runner, or a leader for that matter!

Thank you. That's the kind of shit they're talking about here. Asshole!
Uncle Billsby,
No need to get over myself. I'm old enough now to have explored all options, and it is clear to me that in any setting I am among the smartest and most interesting if not THE smartest and most interesting. The same goes for here. I don't say so to make you feel bad though, because as I've said many times before, I'm sure there is something that you can do better than me - just not very many things, and not with consistency.
Keep striving for the top!
Yours in bliss,
Flagpole
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
