if your not racing it, why the h*** is your coach wasting your teams money on the entry fees, if you wanna do a group tempo you might as well go run a tempo around the park. GET THE **** OUTTA HERE

I never said that they weren't going to try. Look at my words carefully, I said "they don't care about being the Stanford Invitational Champs". Meaning if they do not win, they will not trip. If they do, then that's great. And also, by team running, I did not mean a training run. All of our guys are very good, and are very capable of running the majority of the first half, or more, together. So watch how u interpret one's words. Why so much hosility?
"They are in a heavy training phase and will run together as a team. They are actually training for the end of the season, and don't care about being the "Stanford Invitaional Champs"."
Maybe it was your tone that provoked the hostility? I dunno. It sounds like you are making excuses for them, that's all. What does "actually training for the end of the season" mean? Are there any teams that aren't?
What makes you think that perhaps Cal and Chico State arent into their heavy training phase as well?
I'm going to have to agree with midwaste. I hate when teams make excuses before hand just incase they don't win.
Who the hell isn't in their heavy training phase right now??
A record is going to be broken this weekend at stanford...
This is the weakest field ever!

This I cannot dispute.
weaker than last year?
stop talking. you guys sound like a bunch of kids just show up and race have a good time since when winning is not fun or enough stop making up excusses every team is training hard for the end right now if not then what would be the reason for running !
who willwin life man...is like the birds are dying.
heads up to all the internet spectators out there, the course is different this year, and will likely be even faster than last year. It looks like it consists almost entirely of flatish loops, as they appear to have taken the last real hill out of the mix.
Damn, I ith the Stanford Golf Course then the map won't mean much.remember back in the day when this used to be a tough course. Below is a link to a map of the new course. If you're not familiar with the Stanford GC then the map won't really mean much.

jesus, why not just put a carpet down and run it on the track. that course is BS.
Who cares what phase of training Cal is in. With the talent they have there they should always be extremely successful. It's indicative of that program that excuses would have to be made. Chico will dominate them.
I dunno', they have a ton of talent on that team.
Matusak, Coe, Ghebray, Schmitt, Torrance, just to name a few. I think CAL is (hopefully) on the rise. Whether or not they beat Chico or vice versa, I look forward to seeing them run well this season.
This is the same 8k as the last several years, I think. That t-point is about 150 feet higher than the lowest point on the course and while a lot of that is in one damn-steep hill, there is the hill when you first come under the bridge, not to mention the ups ad downs all over the course itself. It's not a track... well, the 4k is, but the 6k and 8k aren't.
anyone have results for this frickin meet yet, i can't find um anywhere
