uhhh...the guy who MADE Stanford has a meet this weekend.
hint*...he's @ oregon now
Doing what ? what is there to do in Meth Town, Oregon ?
The men might get rocked by Cal and Chico State.

No, NO, no, and nO.
Impossible because with the 4k Stanford will dodge all competition like they always do.
hahaha, premiere collegiate invite this weekend. forgeting Notre Dame, Dellinger, and Willamette? probably others as well....
ouch, no love for CAL. Funny, I thought CPSLO was running at the Dellinger Invite? Maybe they're doing both.
UC SANTA BARBARA, CAL POLY CHALLENGE CARD: The eleventh-ranked UC Santa Barbara women and Cal Poly men are set to challenge the Cardinal in team competition this weekend. The Gaucho women have entered a full team in the 6,000 meter race that includes All-American and Big West Athlete of the Year Stephanie Rothstein. Having already raced in three competitions this season, UC Santa Barbara has collected two team wins and a runner-up performance. On the men's side, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo will challenge the Cardinal in the 8,000 meters. The Mustangs finished seventh at last year's NCAA West Regional at Stanford. Junior Phillip Reid has already claimed one individual title this year at the UCSB Invite, followed by Troy Swier in third and Matt Johnsrud in fifth for the team that is favored to repeat as Big West Champions.
SLO will most likely race their top guys at Oregon, right? seems like all the ranked teams are there, plus a few west coast teams. seems like it's a true "invitational." meaning it's probably set up by invitation only.
Is Nike footing the travel bill for these teams. Why go to Oregon ?
cal won't be doing any rocking, but i assure you they will get rocked.. by a d2 team no less.
Who will win the battle of the UC's?
CAL
UCSB
UC Davis
UCI
UC Riverside
I'm gonna' go with CAL.
Cal will win the battle of the UCs (Davis will be right behind).
Chico will win the whole shabang.
UCSB will definatly beat UC Davis and will probably beat CAL and Chico
Whether or not Cal does get beat by Chico State is irrelevant at this point. They are in a heavy training phase and will run together as a team. They are actually training for the end of the season, and don't care about being the "Stanford Invitaional Champs". Watch out for them at Regionals as I surely am confident that they will make it to NCAAs for the first time in the program's history.
And for those of you who think I'm bulshitting, I see them training everyday and I'm just out of eligibility so I would be out there with them, but can't at the moment. See all u haters in track 07!

man what a f***ing cop out. I'm sure the other teams are all training for the Stanford Invite, and have backed off their training in a major way.
If they want to tempo the race, or group it up, or whatever scheme the coach has cooked up that will get them to NCAA's that's fine. BUT, If you're not gonna' run to win then don't make excuses for not winning, especially before the meet.
Hey, I got an idea. Why don't we get Stanford to institute a rule that nobody can race for the first half, so no teams will have to run the risk of jeopardizing their training or being burnt out by regionals. Oh wait, they already have that. It's the 4k.
If Chico ran D1, they would hand Cal an ass-whooping at Regionals. Sorry G.
