I couldn't agree more. I bet hand had 5 pair these over the years "in the day".

Triax TC 2, alas they don't make them anymore
I've been used the streak XCs in workouts. The only problem it they fall apart after a few months. If you only use them for racing though, they should be good.
you talking about the white with blue flames and yellow trim around the ankle opening? poor guy, i'd say i feel your pain.....but i still have 6 pair brand new in the box. they're basically just like the newer streak xc but i still like them better, never a more bouncy shoe made in my opinion.dude-

Ekiden (*sniff*)
i think personally it'd have to the nike vapours or the streak XC's.. both are light as and good. mayflys pretty much suck, its like running on a sponge.

No a-hole, these:
ah, those ones....i thought they sucked and felt pretty "dead" . kinda like you :)
What about the nike air zoom xc at $65.00
Don't go just by what your mom told you.
I will second or third the kantana racer! The white ones are sick looking and are really light and comfy for the longer races or workouts!
they're almost identical to the blue flame ekiden's i'm referencing. I personally think the old ekiden's have just a little more cush though. i lucked out and bought about a dozen pair from Copeland's sports when they put them up on sale for 2/$50-.....i figured at 25 bucks each thats basically a throw away price! Streak XC is the next best thing though since you can't get them anymore.dude-
