I went to the Univ. of Windsor in 2001-2002, when Ryan was at his peak for the Windsor Lancers (Univ. of Windsor).
What surprised me about Ryan was that he only trained about 35-40 miles a week. Most of his training was composed of intervals on the indoor track at the Univ. of Windsor.
Ryan is about 5.8/120 pounds, so he is built like a ''white african'' and he has a very smooth efficient (but long) stride.
I always thought he had the physique to be a top class 5000 runner...in the schiebler or better range (sub. 13:20).
The only question I have about him is with regard to his mental toughness.

When he is on he is hard to beat.
He ran very strong in APril winning the Spring Run off 8km against a strong field. I think he ran a 13:40 something 5km on the track and I watched him rip an 8km xc winning in Guelph last month. Tons o' talent. Ihope he runs national cross in Van.

13:38.46 in July in Belgium.
No mention here why a thread several months old was dredged up so 'Bandito' could point out spelling errors. Did he spend that long with the dictionary before he was sure there were mistakes?

Too funny; I was thinking the same thing and forgot to mention it! why was this thread resurected? Maybe an omen of McKenzie blasting at Candadians.
