Looks like trainers in addition to the long running pants. I say that is worth 5-10 seconds right there. Go Henry!

Can I do another one on Sunday without long tights if you want?
We thought we can do another one on sunday. We feel we didn't warm up enough on Thursday to get the good results.Solomon, and Kris will go for 1500m TimeTrials on Sunday again to better their times this will booster their powers for Stanford meet next week,so do I. I will do my thing too.
We do live like a family so to speak. It has been more than one month, since we form this family. Great marriages in this RonoRun Team.We do get along well, because of the hill, thus, make us feel humble to each other especially after eat breakfast.

have you ever done this workout, that we used to do in college; it was pretty hard; at the end of a mile you would be tired! On a track, you jog the curves and sprint/stride the straight aways. We called them "in and outs" in the midwest. I heard that the great John Walker once ran a 3 mile workouts of 'in-and-outs' in 13:40 and another time a 2 mile close to 9 minutes. Does that sound believable? Did you ever do something like that in your prime?
Way to go Henry! Congratulations!
Great knowledge and talent pay off.

I do something like that on the grass soft service. Or During competition,I did something like that, when I was running NCAA in 1978 during the 5000m race and still won it with 13:21.They thought I was crazy and playing around, when in fact I was getting ready for world record in Vienna 10,000m.

Henry, that was the qualifying round that you ran that 13:21.
After his 8:18.63 in the steeplechase heats, when the curtain came up again for the 5000 heats, Rono wasted little time. On each straight Rono sprinted, each turn he'd cruise. On the straights Rono had this special way of cocking his head back, he'd lean forward, push his chest way out, pump his arms -- and whooosh -- it looked like he had his own personal wind carrying him down the track.
On the turns he'd float like he was walking on air. He's hit another straight, push that button of his, and the crowd would respond. You could hear the crowd on the other side of the track erupt as he flew down the track. He'd float the turn, push that switch again, and it was our turn to roar.
Rono had taking running to a new level. He wasn't simply running, he was performing.
It's been said that on the West Grandstand straight Rono even passed NCAA long jump champion Larry Doubley as he ran down the runway. I believe it.
Over the years we've all been privileged to see some great runners -- Kipketer, El Guerrouj, Gebrselassie, Tergat. All great runners, all with silky-smooth strides, and yet they all could be described as being mechanical. Rono was a 'runner's runner' who ran for the sheer joy of it, and left anyone so privileged to see his 'work' awestruck.
Without a doubt, my memories of Rono got me through many a rainy winter training run. I'd cock my head back, lean forward, push my chest out, pump my arms and let my body follow my imagination down the road.
I even think there were a few times that I felt what it must have been like.
WOW!
Thanks Malmo. This thread gets even better and better.
And a new dawn has just broken on the Masters career of Henry Rono. It has been a long road back from the darkness to the light. It is all starting to come together. Over the next year we will see the runner Malmo described, once again; older, wiser but with that same free spirit.

I think that you want "running" in the title, and to keep it simple."Running Towards The Light" might be good. I can see in my mind a picture on the cover of you running towards the New Mexico sunrise!

I don't like any of those titles....
I like: HENRY RONO: CHAMPION RUNNER
Something with your name in it.
You're looking good in the time trial picture....15 lbs lighter than the Cincinnati race? Good form too.
