These questions have been asked in part I thread;however ,I will fill you up.I was 21 years old when I put on shoes.I was 18 when I started competiting changing sports from soccer to running in 1970.How is that look?
Henry
I love the way you respond Henry. Good luck.
To Private Rono, Kenyan Army,
I'm sorry I didn't answer the question.
What were your times then? I remember running 17 minutes for 5k 34 minutes for 10k.I was a fat boy.I'm just kidding!
I was doing okay similar times the high school girls and slow boys does it over here in US.What do you think of that? It is true I did it. I don't play head games, when it comes to running.I'm very honesy guy believe me.
I know your next quest, but let me go for training.
Henry
To Top Cat,

Mike ,I want people to know, who is Henry Rono in Track&Field and what A I up to!That is all! They don't know me.So I have to ring so many bells into the ears as I to do in 1978.
Henry
How long did it take you to be world class?
By the way, this is the best thread ever. Thanks Henry.

It took me seven years and I was in running business that was very crazy. The people who were around me turn out to be weird. If you don't stick your wallet tight enough in your pocket pants. You will not see it again.

Hey Henry!
Just got in: I did 5:14 and got fifth place. Winner did 5:05; Colleen de Reuck was second with 5:08.
I made a mistake: I lead the field out for the first 400 metres and they all sat on me; I had to practically start jogging before anyone would come past, then when the attacks started at 800m I couldn't respond. I have learnt my lesson!

It still is.
Henry, 20 more pounds and you'll no longer be running 'grandy pace.' How fast were the kids at camp running with you?

We ran 4.5 miles for 35 minutes,so do math. The second day we did 34 minutes. This is the distance for the high schoolers.

Brit,Please don't take my prediction it was a joke. When I wrote say 5:30.Your prediction is great
You know your body so perfect the same way I use to do in 1978.You are 4 seconds off and that is nothing,if you didn't lead the field first, perhaps you could have nail it,but who else could lead, you had to.
