Just saw two sisters run sub-4:55 in a 1600m. How many sisters have run sub-5 in the same race? sub-4:55? How about sub-4:50? And what would be the equivalent of brothers? Like 4:15?

The equivalent brothers would bet be the Young twins.
Did Amanda and Katy Trotter run sub-4:55 together in a race?
Possibly the Trotters or maybe the Kaltenbachs. How fast did Katelyn run as a freshman?
Katelyn and Megan went 1-2 at the Colorado State Championships (altitude) in 4:59.67 - 5:00.40; they didn't run sub-4:55 or equivalent.
Nit close to the Youngs. They were elite high school runners neat the top of their class while 4:55 doesn't win many state meets.
The Flood sisters ran faster.
Pretty sure there have been sisters in the 4:40s in the same race, but not coming up with them yet. There were twins in Florida several years ago ... I want to say last name Fluehr, or something like that? The Humphries sisters (twins?) in Texas right now are really fast, but will have to check on mile times in same race. I think it's Megan and Samantha.
I want to say some Saratoga Girls siblings did it, at least on a relay, maybe in a race.
Shola and Nnenna Lynch must have?
Grace (4:57) and Lauren (4:58) Ping both went sub-5 in the 1600 @ the 2018 MN State Championships. They likely both went sub-5 some other times too.
There are currently girls in both MD and PA that could likely do this and may already have. Both twins I'm pretty sure.
I found a great one in Minnesota.. twins Bethany and Megan Hasz went 1-2 at State in 4:46 and 4:49.
I already listed Flood sisters. One won the NCAA 1500 in college. Hasz twins ran 4:46/4:49 in HS.
You beat me by 1 minute
Here are the Rodriguez sisters, 4:50 and 4:54 last night

who? are you referring to the Virmani sisters in Maryland?
I think the Humphries as others have noted are the obvious ones here. both way under 4:55, including a 4:40/4:44 showing at HOKA last year.
Liv and Tess Sherry (CT) have both run under 4:55. not sure if in the same race though.
The Garmer sisters (TN) are both getting to that level.
The Kucler's (PA) maybe? I know Wren is under 4:55.
The Huylers (OR) possibly. I know Chloe is WAY under 4:55. Hannah might still be getting there.
And of course just a matter of time before we have at least two of the five Latta sisters under there since Elin already broke the middle school record a few months ago and she has a twin sister and two more younger twin sisters.
And I can think of some really fast sisters now in college. Would have to look them up to see what their HS times were but I would imagine sisters like the Hebners, the Markezich's, the Max's, the Flynn's and others may have already done this.
And these are just twins Ive mentioned. Im sure there are tons of non twin sisters who have done this. The Forsyth's come to mind.
Julie and Jennifer Armstrong were twins who ran in the 4:35 range for 1500m as grade 9 students in Ontario in the 80s.
Good call on Humphries because we’re talking about “in the same race” and we’re not talking potential, etc.
Doesn't quite make the cut, but I'll bring it up since there are other MN posts here. In the early 2000s sisters Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Annie Yetzer combined in several races. Elizabeth is the only one who broke 5 in high school (MN record holder in 4:41), but the other 2 were close. At least 1 of them was at the state meet every year from 1998-2006 with all 3 in 2001-2003.
2004 was their best year in the 1600 - Elizabeth 4:46, Annie 5:04 (1st and 7th).
Not sure of those exact times but there are tons of sisters/sibs in the sport
Patti Sue and Polly Plumer
Collier and Mel Lawrence
Laura and Jackie Zeigle
to name a few
oddly enough, I've not found a ton of brother-sister combos which I think is interesting. Apart from Andy and Sara Powell or something.
