What is best two weeks out from a marathon: Race a half marathon all lut or use it as race specific training and run it at marathon pace (with a long warmup and cooldown)?

Do not race it if you care about running your best marathon. 2 weeks out it would be better to use it as a marathon specific workout.
I like my last longer MP tempo 3 weeks out. Could be anywhere from 10-16 @ GMP, depending on volume. Then 2 weeks out I think an easy 2 hours is fine or adding in something like 2 x 3-6 miles @ GMP, again, depending on volume. A half all-out is out of the question for me if the marathon is the main goal. I certainly wouldn't run any faster than goal marathon pace 2 weeks out if you decide to run but I think you run the risk of leaving your race in training. It's a big effort 2 weeks out.
I believe every race should be run all-out but that's just me personally
I agree but it also depends how old you are plus the presence of any niggles
I did this exact thing earlier this spring and ran PRs in both. Don't overthink it too much and you'll be fine.
If your name is Bill Rodgers and you are running 140 mpw, go ahead and race it all out. That would be just a day at the office. Otherwise, dial back. Run the first half at MP, then race the second half.
