Saw a thread on this a week ago, seems to have disappeared. We are 4 days out from the race and USATF can’t tell us who’s running? Way to cultivate interest in the sport!!

USATF can only care about 3 races a year please do not expect anything from them
The idea is, buy the tv package, turn it on the morning of the race and then hope somebody shows up. The field can’t be weaker than recent championships. That’s how this organization rolls.
Totally worthless event.
Could it be that with Track Fest, Pittsburgh, Philly, and so many other choices, maybe they are embarrassed by their field?? I hear Lindwurm is in and maybe Saina?
Looks like we’re down to 3 days and no list and no press release. Is this race still on?? Who is at fault? The race or USATF???
why? because you can't contend? grow up.
Well, looks like the results may be up before the start list. Then again, chances are the results will probably take days to post. We all know that USATF is totally incompetent, particularly when it comes to LDR. We also know there are races that lack basic services and are disorganized. When the two are combined, it becomes a joke. To have them be national championships is inexcusable. No wonder so many of the top runners ignore them.
Rumor on the street is that Nathan Martin is chasing Stinson's AR but the fact there's still no start list on USATF's website is quite concerning
No because there's only 2 other quality 25km races in the world. There's already a U.S. championship half marathon. That's 4km less for someone like you that likely doesn't know.
So would you like less events then? There's also no USA half championship this year
Why would any race bid? What do they get in return? They have to jump through hoops for USATF who gives them nothing in return. These championships will slowly go the way of the OT marathon. Note, yet another OT says “if we had known what was involved we wouldn’t have done it..” or “wouldn’t do it again.”
so here’s your answer. There are no elite entries for the men or the women. I guess I’d be embarrassed too!
