Been following a very similar version to Jakob's training since December. 2 double thresholds a week and Saturday hills, 85-90mpw with mostly doubles. Only raced twice during this time which was the first week March, tapered 7 days before and felt really good. Training has been going amazingly well up until this week.
Have finals coming up this month and been doing a lot of studying in April (like 4 hours a day). But now I feel totally burnt out from both running and studying, showing some signs of overtraining like being constantly tired, today I was supposed to have a double threshold but I just stayed in bed and decided not to do anything instead. Similarly on the studying side I am struggling to even do 1 hour. Do you think it's most likely a combination of both, or coming from running overtraining?
If so what do you think the most appropriate action is? I don't have any past experience with overtraining or this, so hoping somebody could help. Many thanks.
