zero chance you think people or anonymously rooting against her because of anything shes done or her "rivals" rather than what they think her father did
Here we go with the strange OAC boys that for some reason blame Wiley for the negative comments on anyone related to OAC. Truly one bizarre poster with screwed up logic
Let’s get real. She’s not the best HS runner in the country. Her father happens to be the bigger deal. Unfortunately arrogant with a shady past with AlSal and a team that been falling apart lately. Not impressed
He is. She was there because Dathan is there because On is sponsoring it and a few OAC athletes are racing. She won NXN too.
I think the custom kit is cool. I thought it was just a generic On kit, but during her interview I realized it had her school name on it too. Great that On is making custom singlets for their athletes. I wonder if they gave them to her whole team. A dozen Niwott OAC jerseys can't be much more than 1, given it's a custom design.
It'd actually be cool if they gave Niwott 14 jerseys for an incentive for girls/boys to make varsity. It'd be cool if they did that for every school that an athlete got an NIL deal. Nice for On because a bunch of kids would be trying to wear their jersey. Nice for the kids because they'd get a custom jersey, and future athletes would get to learn where it came from. Just another way to get people a bit more invested/interested in the sport.
Who the hell cares about Niwott! Not everyone is as obsessed about the shady Ritz family as you seem to be. Kids don’t care. There are plenty of other runners to idolize. She doesn’t cut it at this point.
What's the point of the posters they put up with their NIL athletes? Some are legit (Bizimana indoor 800m champ, Ramadan, etc) while others have achieved nothing other than 'qualifying for NCAA outdoors in 5000 / 10000'
All the Valby fans down voting this incredible young athlete. Pathetic. How many of you Valby fans have a sub 10 3200 / sub 9:20 3000 on your high school!
Jealous? No, I'm not jealous of her. You have a strange imagination. The title of this thread claims that she was "blazing fast" and I'm pointing out the fact that other girls have run quite a bit faster. Not sure why you got so upset about me pointing out a fact.
time to make a post for every other girl that breaks 10 minutes for the 3200, starting now.
“Though not the same notoriety, the 10-minute barrier for the girls 3,200 is comparable to the 4-minute barrier for the boys mile. Once one person breaks the barrier, it doesn’t seem as intimidating of a goal.” - Alexa Efraimson, Dyestat
Is it just me or did anyone else get rubbed the wrong way by this quote? Even now, sub 4 for hs boys still has to be in a different universe to sub 10 for hs girls. As it is, I'm shocked that sub 10 for girls is worth more competitively than 8:50 or even 9:00 for boys.

Agree, I think sub-4 for boys is more difficult than sub-10 for girls.
I think sub-10 for girls is probably more difficult than sub-8:50 for boys, just by looking at the numbers.
Addy is definitely a great athlete, but she has MANY factors that are working to her advantage. There’s the superior genetics, superb coaching, a top training location at altitude for top runners, and her dad having the inside scoop with On by being the coach of one of the best clubs in the world…so it’s important to remember that many other high schoolers (like Leachman) do not have any of these advantages. You have to put her performance in perspective while still acknowledging that she works very hard, so I believe that’s why there’s a lot of negativity. However, I think the negativity towards HS kids on this site is out of hand and completely unnecessary.

I think 12-13% is a usual conversion for those distances. I'm excluding the half and full marathon because they're both not run by high schoolers, and having male pacer(s) the entire way greatly helps women but obviously can't help men.
So a 10:00 (600 second) female 3200 is roughly equal to a 8:42-8:48 male 3200. Sounds about right to me
Show us on the doll where Katelyn Tuohy hurt you. Honestly, you people can't get over her or her fans when she hasn't even run this year. You're all like Walter Sobchak turning everything into something related to Vietnam. There's a sick obsessiveness about high school, college, and pro women with some people here. Download Tinder or Bumble, find some dates and stop worrying about girls/women who don't even know you exist. Therapy exists for a reason.
