I lift - currently can do 2-4 reps of 1/2/3/4 plates of OHP/Bench/Squat/DL.
I'd like to incorporate 3 runs a week but ideally in a way that synergizes with my lifting, or at the very least, minimizes gainz loss. Shorter distance HIIT type of stuff seems to be the way to go. I'm not a total noob to running as I run 3-4 miles twice a week and can maybe run a mile in 7:30.
I'm thinking something like an easy 3-5 mile run, a day of intervals at the track (100, 200, 400s), and one day where I warm up, run really hard for 20 minutes, and cool down.
Would this work?
