Stage 1- Genesis: I'm going to run a marathon!!! I don't know anything about running but I'm running The Davenport Pig Petter Marathon 3 months from now.
I'm authentic and I have a real internet marketing job so I have to time-manage just like you do. And get this... I have a wife and kids so I am totally normal and not self absorbed one little bit !!!!
Watch me as I train and learn!! Also, I make coffee and eat toast before I run. The video clips from my I-Phone are super cool !!!
Stage 2- Ominous Signs: Running is hard!! I can't even run 5 miles without stopping! What am I doing wrong is wrong? Send me advice!!
Stage 3- A New Hope: I'm getting better. I can totally do this. I ran 20 miles today. (I only took 1 bathroom break, 2 stretch breaks and 3 selfie stops along the way). Don't my new drone tracking shots look great!!
Stage 4- A Hard Slap: I totally bonked my first marathon. I went out way too fast, was hurting by mile 8 and walking by mile 18. But.... I made it across the finish line and am really, really proud I did. If there hadn't been a 4 mph headwind for 1/4 of the race I probably would have run 20 minutes faster and definitely will next time. Also, my wife and kids were so happy to drive 200 miles and spend 4.5 hrs standing around to film me run just like I instructed them to. They are so supportive and we'll totally do Tommy's birthday next week.
Stage 5- Buckling Down: I got a coach, three pairs of trainers, training carbons and race carbons for this next race. Check out these improptu shoe reviews and lingering logo shots.
Also, cutting back to halftime on the that internet marketing drag has really let me zero in on the things that matter and let me put in some 70 mile weeks. Oh yeah, I went to a men's clinic and got some levels checked. I'll take whatever the doc recommends to get me back to normal but we don't need to focus on the details...
Step 6- Revelations: Yes!!! I rocked a BQ minus 7 mins at the Mt. Charleston Downhill Street Luge Marathon. And that was with a nasty 20 mph tailwind that made things totally stuffy and hot. Thank you so much for all your support along the way. 6 people shouted my name as I was running and it sure is keeping me humble in my ordained role as a blessed creative. I'm going to Boston!!!
Step 7- The Cash Grab: Now that I know so much with my new running PRs, I'm going to share it with the "fam" by posting four times a week and giving you all the insight on the latest shoes, gels, and backscratchers.
Use this code to get 3% off Camel Hair Protein shakes!! They are totally natural, taste great, and only take 2 weeks to ship to your house for twice the price of what you can get at GNC!!! Sick!!
Step 8- The Big Leap: I'm going to run a 15 minute marathon PR in my next marathon!!! At least 2 of the 7 panels from the fancy lab fitness test I took in my last video say I'm within 5% of that goal so I got this. I set up a gym in my basement with XXX bars and a ZZZ treadmill. They look a lot better than the Legos and dollhouse that were cluttering it up before.
Step 9- VO2 Strikes Back- I gave it my all and rocked it!!**?? Admittedly, I finished 4 mins behind my goal time but the cool temps in the beginning, the wind in the middle, and the direct sun I had to endure for at least 3.4 miles make my finishing time convert to a time that sounds really impressive.
Now lets check out these cool clips of me running in neon race kit and totally not awkward clips of me drinking an IPA at a lounge with other really cool people after the race.
Step 10- Rebirth- That last race gave me a chance to reflect on the true purpose of running.
From now on I'm going to take a step back from pretending to seriously train for times that are beyond my natural abilities. Instead, I am focusing on positivity, lifestyle choices, and sponsor paid travel excursions so I can bring happiness and motivation to all my subscribers..
Also, the wife and kids and I are taking a break so they can get their priorities figured out.
In the mean time, check out this cool camper van and meet River who is a totally cool Yoga Instructor*** . River has just energized me so much over the last six months after I met her nannying at my son's soccer game...
