I don’t understand what you mean. Some of the most important social movements in American history to place well within the social political order. Yes, civil rights protesters sat in lunch counters where it was illegal, but their goal which they accomplished was to pass comprehensive legislation eliminating Jim Crow and ensuring voting rights. The only thing disruptive about it was that a whole lot of people, including some very powerful people, agreed with them.
