Hello. Very new runner here. 37 year old male. 185 lbs. Since august I have about 1000 miles logged. I am on week 14 of the HMM. basically I will be happy just to finish the marathon, but hoping to be right under 4:00. I have been doing pretty good with the plan. only deviations from the HMM have been running 17 mi instead of the suggested 16’s. Also pushing the paces a little faster than what is suggested.
I have sought out a sports nutritionist. He uses an app “life base” which is fairly generic. What I don’t like it that there isn’t a way for me to input my daily calorie expenditure. So my macros are set up everyday exactly the same. From my off/cross training day, all the way to my 17 mile run days.

those are the macros I am currently trying to target everyday. basically I try to limit sugar and fats as much as I can. And eat Whole Foods.
marathon is at 7 am. The main thing I am nervous about is making sure I am fueled for the run. During this training regimen, I have ran a 15 miler and a 17 miler first thing in the morning. Fasted. The 15 miler I couldn’t hold in my bowels, the 17 miler I did just fine. Actually didn’t have a bowel movement until way later in the day.
What do I eat for the week prior to marathon?
How do I not poop my pants?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
