Gee. Could it be because people needed to create a thread about Valby's supposed novel training approach to try to explain her dramatic improvement and all the other anomalies? I was on the fence until indoor nationals.
Then we have a article where she trains sequestered from her own coach. Nothing to see here.
No, you weren't on the fence about Valby until indoor nationals. You have been insinuating that Valby was using drugs long before that.
You have admitted that you think they all use drugs. Not sure why you even bother to follow a sport if you're convinced every top runner except Tuohy uses drugs.
I thought that Tuohy was a former top college runner and now a pro. You just said that you were comparing Parker's training to what elites and pros do. Tuohy was an elite runner and is now a pro. Are you saying that you aren't considering her in this discussion because she has been on a slide and she has been a failure as a pro? Okay. I will disregard the comparisons to her and stick to elites and pros as your message states. I am surprised that you have thrown her asides quickly.though. she may come back someday.
Most people can answer it. If a guy runs 14:00, he has tremendous talent. 99% of people can't do that regardless of training or drugs.
So by that definition everyone in d1 is talented. They are better than 99% of the people out there. It isn’t an interesting question.
now tell me who is more talented: the 13:45, 14:00, or 14:15 runner. That is the question we are asking when we say PV is more talented than the dozen other woman ina NCAA final. That is a ton harder to answer.

You keep trying to introduce Tuohy into the discussion. You are desperate to make a comparison. You are free to do so but it doesn't interest me. The obsession with Tuohy is all yours.
rojo, please remove Armstronglivs from this thread. Thank you.
No, Armstronglivs, not because you disagree with me. Because you are a tiresome bore who adds nothing to the topic of this thread.
If boredom is the test then I will have to put your name forward as well, in addition to a couple of other posters who keep muttering the same obsessive nonsense post after post.
The point wasn't who posted it. The point was that I directed you on how to find it. We all read it. You claimed that some posters are listing her training when in fact an article outlines it.
How do you know what pros and elites do unless you examine what the individual pros and elites do? I realize that you want to stay far away from discussing Tuohy because she is a failure and you are claiming Parker is doping. You are correct that Tuohy is a failure but Parker is America's sweetheart and she is cleaner than clean. She will be tested after the trials. She will be tested multiple times later this year after going pro. Her upside is unlimited as witnessed by her current training. I again thank you for keeping this thread going and bringing attention of more and more people to her limited running. More people become fans everyday and the expectations just rise and rise. I can't wait to see her in the Olympics.
But the point is, instead of choosing to drone on and on about Nico Young, or now Colin Sahlman, or Graham Blanks, or Ramsden, etc etc, he specifically drones on and on wrt Valby.

I do know something about what pros do. It isn't what Valby does. I therefore asked why don't more pros do the same kind of training if it produces similar results. But then we simply go around the mulberry bush, with you spouting that it is all "talent". So no one else is as talented. Sure.
