What's the simple formula for predicting 800 based on 1500 time or vice versa?
I know I saw it here once but can't remember.

For someone basically equal in both events, (800 time) * 2 = 1500 time
The formula is actually running the race
That seems favorable towards the 800 runner.
That would make a 1:50 800 runner, about a 3:56 miler and a 2:12 800 runner, about a 4:42 miler runner. I feel those are both about 4 to 6 seconds fast for the mile.
As a 3000/5000 athlete, I once ran 1:55 / 3:52 to open an outdoor season. Admittedly, I wasn’t sharp at all and closed in 2:00, but I almost always had that rule. Even 1:59 / 4:00 / 4:17
